About Lakewood Cerritos Dental Center

Founded in 1967 by Abelardo Lopez, D.D.S., Lakewood Cerritos Dental Center was originally located at South Street and Bellflower Boulevard in Lakewood, CA. At the time, it wasn't called Lakewood Cerritos Dental Center. After four years we moved inside the Cerritos Mall and named it "Cerritos Dental Center." Our office had two doctors and four employees.
As our practice grew, we moved to 183rd Street to our Cerritos location in 1980. As this new office was large and suited our growing business needs, we hired new doctors and made additional services available to patients including orthodontics. That location had 25 chairs and 30 employees.
Our History
To further expand the practice, a second office building was constructed in Lakewood. Completed in 1991, it has 30 operatories and a staff of 30 people. We offer general and cosmetic dentistry as well as additional dental specialties like endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. Dental Care Service
Our goal is to provide you with the best quality of dental care and service. By offering two locations, we can serve the community better. New patients have a choice of multiple dentists and specialists in endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery.
As a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), we honor nearly all forms of dental insurance including most California Dental Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans. Our practice can also handle dual insurance coverage situations.

Our Staff
Many of our doctors have degrees from prestigious universities such as UCLA and USC, and have a huge amount of combined experience.
Our assistants, hygienists, and technicians are quite capable and highly trained individuals. They are naturally courteous and thoughtful to all our patients.
Additionally, we have dental treatment counselors who can go over the recommended treatment plan with you to explain doctor-recommended dental treatments and procedures. They can explain fees and co-payments involved with insured patients.

Dr. Vahe Antanesian
Dr. Vahe Antanesian is a General Dentist focusing on Implants, family and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Antanesian has earned his Doctorate degree in Dental surgery from the University of Southern California (USC) and has been practicing dentistry in the Los Angeles county since October 1999. Dr. Antanesian earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Biology in 1994.
Dr. Antanesian has focused on the latest technology in dentistry taking courses in Implant Dentistry and conservative restoration options. Dr. Antanesian has extensive experience in placing and restoring Implants since 2005. Dr. Antanesian is affiliated with American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Fernando Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Anna Chamberlain
Dr. Anna Chamberlain is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She received her DDS degree from UCLA School of Dentistry. Prior to that, she received a dental degree from the Rio de Janeiro State University and practiced general dentistry for four years before moving to Los Angeles, California. After dental school, she continued at UCLA to complete her pediatric dentistry residency program and a Master of Public Health degree concurrently.
She developed her love for pediatric dentistry back in Brazil when her adult patients also trusted her with the oral care of their children. She believes in early prevention, family-oriented oral health education and individualized treatment plan based on each child’s needs. Her gentle touch and kindness allow patients to feel safe and comfortable during dental appointments as she uses age-appropriate techniques to provide excellent care to children of all ages.
Dr. Chamberlain is currently one of the executive council members of the Southern California Society of Dentistry for Children. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
When not practicing dentistry, she enjoys traveling, going to the movies and visiting theme parks in the company of her 10-year-old daughter.
Dr. Ameet Chopra
Dr. Chopra is an Oral Surgeon specializing in tooth extractions, dental implants, anesthesia/sedation, and jaw surgery. Dr. Chopra graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2005. He then completed his studies at the UCLA-Harbor OMS in 2010. Dr. Chopra joined our team in 2011. He loves the challenges that oral surgery presents, as well as the ability to meet different people from all walks of life.
Outside of work Dr. Chopra devotes his time to his wife and kids, and also enjoys sports.
Dr. Abbas Hariri
Dr. Hariri is a General Dentist focusing on Implants, Prosthetics, family, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hariri has earned his Doctorate degree in Dental surgery from the National University of Iran, School of Dentistry in 1975. Dr. Hariri obtained his Dental License for the state of California Dental Board on April 1990. He has been practicing dentistry in the Orange and Los Angeles counties since November 1990.
Dr. Hariri has focused on the latest technology in dentistry taking courses in Implant Dentistry and conservative restoration options. He has extensive experience in placing and restoring Implants since 2002. Dr. Hariri is affiliated with American Dental Association and California Dental Association.
Dr. Hariri Loves the personal aspect of patient care, and looks forward to interacting with his patients and seeing their smiles after helping them with their concerns. He would like everyone to feel welcome and open to improving their smile, function and oral health no matter what age and stage of life.
Dr. Elizabeth Hoang
Dr. Elizabeth Hoang is a Periodontist focusing on treatment for Gum Diseases. Dr. Hoang has been in practice since 1997. Her specialty is treatment for all types of Gum diseases, Gum grafting for receding gum lines, Crown-Lengthening, Dental implants, and Periodontal plastic surgery.
Dr. Hoang obtained her Doctorate Degree (D.M.D) from Tuft University IN Boston and her specialty training in periodontics at the prestigious Columbia University In New York where she also received her Master’s in Oral Biology. Dr. Hoang was a clinical instructor for Six years at Columbia University.
Dr. Elizabeth Hoang primary goal is to provide highest quality care with cost-effective treatment plan for a long-term prognosis.
Dr. Henna Kim
Dr. Henna Kim is an Orthodontist focusing on Improving the esthetic, functionality and Oral health. Dr. Kim Graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, She attended the University of Pennsylvania and earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2009. She then spent 4 years serving in the Army Dental Corp, which included a deployment to Afghanistan, allowing her the opportunity to meet and treat many different people from around the world.
The next chapter of her life brought her back to Southern California where she decided to pursue advanced specialty training at the University of California, Los Angeles section of Orthodontics. In dedication to clinical excellence, she has further achieved Board Certification in Orthodontics in 2016.
Dr. Henna Kim believes in treating her patients like family to provide the most thoughtful and quality care possible. Dr. Kim would like everyone to feel welcome and open to improving their smile no matter what age and stage of life they are in.
Dr. Aiham Macchadani
Dr. Macchadani is an Endodontist (root canals). Dr. Macchadani obtained his dental degree from Columbia University Collage of Dental Medicine in New York City in 2010. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Dr. Macchadani relishes the complexities of his work. The most rewarding part of his profession is helping his patients find their smiles again.
Dr. Aiham Macchadani is a lifelong Soccer fan, he remains loyal to his favorite team, Futbol Club Barcelona.
Dr. Scott Miller
Dr. Miller is a General Dentist focusing on family and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Miller has earned his Doctorate degree in Dental surgery from Northwestern University, Dental school, Chicago, IL. Dr. Miller has been practicing in the Orange and La counties since 1989. Dr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Pepperdine University, in Malibu, Ca in 1982. Dr. Miller practices with latest technology in dentistry. Dr. Miller is affiliated with American Dental Association, California Dental Association.
Dr. Scott Miller Loves meeting new people and believes in treating his patients like family to provide the most thoughtful and quality care possible. He would like everyone to feel welcome and open to improving their smile, function and oral health no matter what age and stage of life.
Outside of work Dr. Miller loves spending time with his wife and kids. Dr. Miller loves Baseball as he was a previously played MLB for the Chicago CUBS.
